Accounts

Users can create and update bank accounts for companies in the Accounts tab, providing a way to manage bank account information associated with different companies.

Creating a Bank Account

Only users with Admin access can create accounts. Here’s how to create a new bank account:

  1. Click the "Add Account" button at the top right of the page.
  2. This opens the "Add Account" module, where you can enter the necessary details:
    • Name (Beneficiary Name): Enter the beneficiary's name associated with the account (usually the company or account owner's name).
    • Account Number: Enter the unique account number assigned to the account.
    • IFSC No: Enter the IFSC code to identify the bank branch.

Note: The "Submit" button will remain disabled until a valid IFSC code is entered. The system will automatically populate the bank name and branch name once a valid IFSC code is provided.

Duplicate Account Number Alert

If a user tries to update an account number already existing in the system, an alert message will appear, asking, "Do you want to change your account number?"

  • OK: Allows the user to enter a new, unique account number.
  • Cancel: Cancels the update, retaining the current account number.

This process ensures no duplicate account numbers are saved, maintaining data integrity.

Updating a Bank Account

To update an existing account:

  1. Click the "Edit" button in the Action column for the desired account.
  2. The "Edit Account" module will appear with pre-filled current account details.
  3. Make necessary changes to details like the beneficiary name, account number, IFSC code, etc.
  4. Click "Save" or "Update" to apply the changes.

Selecting a Primary Account

After adding multiple accounts, users can designate one as the primary account:

  • Choose the radio button next to the desired account name.
  • The primary account will automatically appear in payment-related fields throughout the system.

Users can still select any other added accounts by clicking on the account field, which will display all available accounts, including the primary account.

This setup ensures streamlined management of bank accounts for efficient payment processing within the organization.
