SIM Tracking

SIM tracking is a valuable tool for monitoring trips in real-time. It enables users to track trips using the driver's mobile number, subject to the driver's consent. It connects to cellular networks, allowing for location updates. This provides basic location tracking without needing an internet connection. Here's a step-by-step guide on how SIM tracking works:

Trip Creation

When a new trip is created, a driver is assigned to it, and the driver's mobile number is associated with the trip.

Consent Request

1. On the trip detail page, there is a "SIM Tracking" button.
2. When the user clicks this button, a consent message is automatically generated and sent to the driver's mobile number.

Driver's Response

The driver has the option to either accept or decline the consent request.

Real-Time Trip Tracking After Driver's Consent

1. After driver accepts consent, SIM tracking begins.
2. You can then see detailed trip info on a map, including where the driver is, how fast they're going, and when they're expected to arrive.

FASTag

FASTag is an electronic toll collection system used on highways. It can also be used for tracking vehicles. When a vehicle passes through toll booths with FASTag, it records the vehicle's location and movement.

Trip Creation:

When a trip is created, the vehicle's FASTag ID is associated with the trip.

Automatic Tracking:

As the vehicle travels on highways and passes through toll booths equipped with FASTag readers, the FASTag device automatically communicates with these readers.

Location and Movement Recording:

Each interaction with a FASTag reader records the vehicle's location and movement at that specific point in time.
